PREVIOUSLY ON TOUGH ENOUGH 2
We see what happened on last weeks show and then begin with this weeks show.
AT THE HOUSE
The contestants are packing for the trip to South Africa. Anni said she is looking forward to going on a safari and seeing a lot of animals and she hopes they might be able to put on a little wrestling show.
Meanwhile we see Pete playing around with the BBQ Grill and he almost sets the entire West Coast on fire and jumps back from it.
Hawk tells us it is the day before their big trip and "Big" John told them they would have a little pool party at the house before they go on the trip. We see Anni going through the cabinet of junk food.
Anni said they expect Al Snow and "Big" John to make an appearance at the pool party. We see a car driving up in the drive way.
STACY & TORRIE ARRIVE
Stacy Keibler and Torrie Wilson arrived on the scene with the Tough Enough 2 trainers and "Big" John. We see the graphics package of the two divas on the screen.
The contestants all greet them and hug them (lucky guys). Al Snow joked he decided to bring them some girls since they can not pick any up.
Jacob said Al brought Stacy Keibler and Torrie Wilson "two of the hottest chicks in the WWF" with him.
Hawk said he knew it was a big thrill for the girls because finally they were getting to meet the female WWF Superstars. Hawk said the guys were also excited for different reasons. We see Pete hugging Al Snow and thanking him for bringing the divas. We see Hawk prancing around like a fairy (not kidding - a tip-toe through the tulips!).
Stacy asks them where they are from (they are now sitting around a table and eating). Jacob tells her he is from New Jersey. Al Snow tells Stacy that Hawk is from the "Twilight Zone". Jacob told us Hawk is an easy target so people target him for that reason a lot.
Stacy said it was awesome they were going to South Africa and talked about how she went to Australia in WCW. Hawk tried to tell them they went to a National Wildlife Refuge and said "Refugee" which allowed Al Snow to crack on him for saying "Refugee" instead of "Refuge". Torrie & Stacy cracked up at this (as did millions watching at home).
Pete said Hawk was just the "butt end of the jokes" because it was so easy. Hawk told us he thinks since people have seen the 'goofy' side of him they try and take advantage of it. He thinks the whole group has this idea that he is this "joking-kinda-out-of whack person" (really? I would have never guessed!). Hawk tells us that he has gone through this his entire life and people always see him this way.
HAWK BREAKS DOWN PART DOS
Hawk started to get emotional at the BBQ Grill and the others asked him if he was okay. He shook them off but he was breaking down. Hawk left and went out on his own (I really think if Hawk can find himself and get tough emotionally he is going to be able to deal with a career on the road - if he can't he won't survive this show).
Hawk called home and told his mother he does not feel very good right now and he has a lot on his mind. He said he had happier days then today. Hawk told us he does not think anybody on the show knows how he really is inside and he is a lot deeper then they think he is. He said sometimes he wants to burst out and tell them how it is because they have no clue (he should. If he did that, he would be able to stand up to them and prove himself. That is what this guy needs to do. These other contestants have a lack of respect for him because he just keeps taking their crap and letting it build up inside. He needs to lay the law down and get in their faces and intimidate them. They none of them will dare to crack on him).
IN THE POOL
We see Jacob doing a dive flip in to the pool. Then we see them all in the hot tub. Kenny said it was very cool to chill in the hot tub with Stacy and Torrie (DUH).
Stacy talked about cheerleading in the NFL in front of 15,000 to 16,000 people and that is nothing compared to wrestling because you have all of the spotlight. Stacy told us it is harder then it looks and people do not realize that. Torrie started to talk but they cut her off and Anni said she likes the way Torrie acts because she is laid back. But she would want to put a little more electricity in to her character and she would want to show some more technical skills (I don't quite get this, was she thinking Torrie was in character?).
Torrie told them the relationships with the other people in wrestling are important because if nobody around you liked you, you would be miserable.
They focused on Hawk during this - because, well you know, he is in that situation on Tough Enough 2 right now.
TICKETS ANYONE
"Big" John brings them the tickets and he hands them out one by one.
He brought them all luggage to use. Jacob joked about wondering if they had "weights over there" (dumbass!). He wondered if he was going to be lifting trees in the jungle (what a total idiot).
FLIGHT ASLEEP
We see them all snoozing on the plane while it is flying to Africa. 18 hours later they arrive in Africa. We see them board the bus to the hotel.
Snow told them there is a price for everything and this is not a free trip because they are going to be busting their asses.
Pete did not think they would really have any real training on this trip and he thought they would have their time to themselves to go out and gamble and get 'f'd up' (CUT THIS guy already!). Pete said he was going to go out and get 'f'd up' (what a great wrestler he would make - Betty Ford clinic).
Anni talked about the long trip and how they pulled up to this palace (which was their hotel). This place was luxurious. It had tv screens in their rooms with personalized messages on the screen with their names. Pretty nice place to stay at (Palace Hotel, Sun City to be exact).
Jackie said it was absolutely amazing. It was like walking in to a total 'fairy-tale land'. We see them looking around the palace hotel and we soak in the atmosphere ourselves.
They go discover their rooms with the personalized television screens.
Hawk is going over the activities the hotel has.
DINNER OUT
We see them all getting spiffed up for dinner out with the trainers. So they get dressed up and meet Al Snow and "Big" John.
"Big" John toasted them and we see them drinking & eating.
Kenny said everybody was having fun.
TOMORROW MORNING AT 4 O'CLOCK
"Big" John tells them at 4 O'Clock they were going hot-air ballooning (great training exercise there for future pro wrestling prospects).
John stuns them by telling them the first surprise is ONE of them is a lucky winner of a TRIP OFF THE SHOW in South Africa. Anni said when he said that everybody stopped having fun (it showed on their faces).
Hawk said everybody was like "Oh my goodness" one of us is leaving.
"BIG" told them this is a competition and in the end only two can win.
NATIONAL GAME RESERVE
We see them on a safari now looking at all the pretty little fluffly savage beasts known as the WILD LIFE. I wonder if the World Wild Life Fund is going to sue over this making it on a WWF show.
Zebra's, Tigers, Lions, Elephants, Rhino's and other assorted animals!
Al Snow tells us he has never gotten on a hot-air balloon in his entire life and he was about to for the first time. We see them boarding up on the balloon.
Linda said she is excited but a bit afraid because she is afraid of heights.
UP, UP, AND AWAY
They go up in the air and take a look at all of the tundra from above.
Jacob said it was beautiful and he was observing the wild life and the landscape and soaking it all in. We see them landing and Al Snow thanks them for the ride because it was incredible.
GETTING SERIOUS PLEASE
Hawk said they had to go from having fun to getting serious and that was what the business was all about.
We see them arriving for training at 9AM. You mean this is still a training show? I would have never guessed.
They have a ring set up in an old arena (pretty cool - WWF should have a PPV in South Africa).
Linda said it made her think of Gladiators (yeah that is what it made me think of as well).
"Big" John tells us a story of Andre Rousinof (Andre the Giant) having wrestled in the very same ring (September of '72) they are going to train in many years ago. He said there is a lot of tradition and history behind the ring they are going to be working out in. He told them to do their best and remember this is a competition and only two of them in the end are going to win.
Hawk said you can not really worry about the other people you have to worry about yourself (I hope he thinks about that when they crack on him and just shrugs it off instead of imploding again).
BODYSLAMS
Snow told them he was going to show them how to give a bodyslam and how to take a bodyslam.
We see them all doing this exercise. Anni told us taking the bodyslam in the ring in South Africa was pretty stiff.
Kenny said it was like concrete taking bumps in that ring and once the sun got over head it was so hot in the ring.
Snow said the mat was probably 120 degrees and you could probably cook and egg on it. Linda is sweating like a stuffed pig! (score one for me in the animal hat trick!).
They had to run up and down steps again and we see them all doing that as well.
Linda said they were all sluggish and tired because of the incredible heat.
JUST THE GIRLS ARE TALKING
Anni told Ivory they should give the girls more of a chance. Ivory said it was a double-edged sword because they (girls) were never going to look like them (guys) because the guys are taller and more stronger then they (girls) are. Jackie said Ivory was like one of the girls and she looked up to her for this reason.
Ivory said she is a fan of women in the ring being women in the ring and not just wrestling and told them to be women. Ivory told them not to get pissed off if somebody touched their face int he ring. Anni said she did not want to come across that way in the ring she wanted to be powerful and exciting and be able to project herself (I think we have a Chyna on our hands here).
THE REST OF THE DAY OFF
Al Snow told us he thought they needed the rest of the day off because of the sun so he went to "Big" and arranged it. "Big" told Al he would go to them and ask them who wanted to take a nap. Al told him no one was going to say they wanted to take a nap.
"Big" John told Al if the majority of them told him they wanted to take a nap they would train and if the majority told him they wanted to train they would have the rest of the day off. Al told "Big" if they are stupid enough to tell him they want to take a nap then they deserve to train. And we have our healthy contest all set up.
NAP OR TRAIN?
Jackie said they were all sitting around eating with their heads falling in to their plates and she thinks Al and "Big" saw that. We see "Big" asking them the million dollar question.
Kenny said at first he thought this had to be a trick. He asked them how many people wanted to train and we see Jacob raise his hand and then he asked how many wanted to take a nap and the majority raised their hands. "Big" told them that meant they work out.
"Big" rubs it in to Al saying they reacted just like he told him they would and Al is shaking his head in disgust or disbelief (I hope the first).
Jackie said her vote was a "big blonde part of her coming out" and Pete asked if they could re-vote and Snow told him they could not. Snow was not happy and told them he tried to get them the rest of the day off and they blew it (they really did not show much intelligence in this part of the competition).
Snow told them he had been hosed big time and he told them he was going to torture them for this. He told them they were tired before but now they are going to be really tired.
MORE TRAINING
Al told Hawk if Hawk would allow Al to shave him bald he would allow the rest of the contestants to be off the hook for him being hosed and would not torture them. "Big" okay'd it and Hawk agreed. Hawk got shaved to let the others off the hook. He said he did it because he thought it would show the others his serious side. Of course all it caused was him to get ribbed again by the heartless losers of the show.
Hawk wanted to show he is not a goofy kid and he has a leadership role inside of him. Pete said Jacob brought his clippers and Al brought his razor and they went down to the ring and shaved Hawk bald.
"Big" told them to do something special for Hawk since he subjected himself to this. So they carried him in to the ring like he was a king and all of the women lined up and gave him a kiss on the lips. Hawk looked shy during this (but what can you expect for a guy that gets dumped on all of the time).
Al told Hawk this was a big sacrifice and he would let him out of it if he wanted. Hawk did not budge. Hawk told us in the WWF you have to make big sacrifices and he is in touch with his hair and he wanted to show them he was willing to make sacrifices. Al told Hawk that he admires him for making this sacrifice and taking the lead for his friends (too bad his friends are not really his friends and are going to bust on him any second now).
We see Al cutting his hair and shaving his head and the others are all cracking on him (see, I told you so!). Jacob said Hawk did not look bad at all bald (he looked better bald - more evil).
Jackie said she thought Hawk did it because he thought he could gain some respect back by doing it. Hawk said everyone kept commenting after he was bald how he looked better.
LION PARK
They go to lion park and get to play with lions. Linda told us they got to interact with the lions and we see this going on as she tells us about it. "Big" got bitten and busted open (BLOOD!). Jacob said it was pretty funny.
Next we see the tour guy wrestle a giant lion.
BACK AT THE HOTEL
Hawk was doing his mean look and looked really evil with his new look. I think he has the marketability now more then ever. "Big" told Hawk the best thing he ever did was shave his head. Al was impressed as well and Hawk was doing his senile-evil act (which was impressive).
Pete told us he was still the same goofy Hawk and they all cracked on him the same (Pete needs to go).
Hawk said he thought he would gain respect out of what he did but at dinner they all razzed him again.
"Big" told us the kids need to be focused on one thing here and one thing alone and that is working in the ring (then why did you take them on the safari and all the other crap?)
BACK TO NORMAL
Al told us he decided this was going to be the day he was going to push them and test them on everything they had learned.
Al said he was going to cut whoever didn't meet his expectations. Jacob felt he was looking to see who would crack. Linda thought this was great. Pete told us he worked as hard as he could.
Anni was having a tough time and injured her ankle. Kenny told us he thinks Anni will get cut due to the injury.
Jackie said Hawk was a mess. Hawk was not having a good day. Al was all over Hawk for making mistakes. Hawk broke down again. At the end of the show Hawk was questioning if he wanted to continue on in this competition (I gotta think he will find himself by next week).
THOUGHTS:
I think Hawk & Jacob are leading the males side. Linda is the female that I see walking away with it all. Jackie & Pete bore me and Pete only wants to party. Kenny isn't bad. But I don't think he has what it takes inside to make it. Anni looks like a problem when it comes to getting her to do anything that does not make her look "STRONG" (I.E. wrestling as a woman and wrestling women).
